Aldo, one of the leading footwear chains in the United States, was founded by Aldo Bensadoun, in the year 1972. When Aldo started his shoe stores, he was just a son of a small shoe merchant. But he understood the future and what it brings with it. He realized that the shoe merchants are becoming impersonal and cold towards their customers and wanted to change it. And thus came the famous store ALDO. The store started as a humble single store for shoe retail in Montreal and has now evolved into a global company with more than 20000 employees in its organization. The company also has its own flagship brands, the ALDO, CALL IT SPRING, GLOBO and LITTLE BURGUNDY. To start with, Aldo initially offered a footwear chain in many retail outlets and fashion boutiques. Later on, he opened his first shoe retail store in Montreal, Canada in 1978. The company did not just offer shoes, but also other accessories to provide a complete package to its customers. The store entered the United States in the year 1993, with a store in Boston. Now nearly 40 years later, they are a leading fashion retailer for shoes and other footwear accessories.
