For our families – who are typically referred from the NICU or PICU of an acute care pediatric hospital, Blythedale offers individualized, round-the-clock medical care in a medically sophisticated, yet intensely child-centered environment. Blythedale prepares children to lead the most independent lives possible, and trains their caregivers to be confident providers for their children. Blythedale cares for children with a wide range of medical problems, resulting from injury or disease, which are amenable to various rehabilitation services. Today, almost 40% of patients admitted to Blythedale are referred from intensive care units for continuing medical care and rehabilitation.
