The credit union was founded by its original members in 1934 and for more than 70 years held the name of Colorado State Employees Credit Union. To better reflect our field of membership, Colorado State Employees Credit Union changed its name on August 31, 2007 to Credit Union of Colorado. We provide a full spectrum of financial products and services, returning profit to our members in the form of lower loan rates and higher savings rates, low fees, and innovative products and services. This direct financial value is given back to our members instead of being paid to a limited number of stockholders, officers, or out-of-state owners as many banks do. Today more than 91,000 members enjoy the benefits of membership, and their credit union is worth more than $980 million in assets!
