• Provide customers with fast and accurate service by following the standard checkout process.

• Provide customers with friendly service through offering friendly greeting, smile and making eye contact with customers.

• Show your full attention throughout the transaction and express your thanks to each customer by saying “Thank You for Shopping The Home Depot”.

• Assess the customer's needs for loading assistance, taking into consideration the merchandise being purchased as well as other environmental factors.

• Once you are assigned to Self-Checkout, you should monitor notification message at the cashier station.

• Follow cash handling procedure including Self-Checkout.

• Monitor entrances and exits, request proof of payment if necessary

• Must be eighteen years of age or older and have legal permission to work in the United States.

• The position requires knowledge, skills and abilities through completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

• Physical qualification: The position requires the ability to move around the store when necessary, to listen for customer service calls, to assist customers and to identify or use merchandise and necessary reports.

• Cashier skills: Have the ability to quickly and accurately process transactions efficiently (Seconds Per Transaction) as well as to efficiently and accurately process returns and exchanges transaction.

• Have the knowledge of all Self-Check procedures and can teach or help customers on the use of Self-Checkout.

• Be well knowledgeable on cash handling policies and procedures
