We are Advanced Dermatology, the premier dermatology practice serving the Greater Houston area, and WE ARE HIRING!

We are looking for dynamic individuals who work well in a busy clinic and can provide an excellent patient experience.

This is a full time position, 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. There are only two exceptions: we have late clinic once a week (late clinic runs only until 6; and Saturday clinic once a month from 8 to 12 noon and we rotate who works those days.)

  • Must have at least 2 years dermatology clinic experience. This is a strict requirement. Will consider plastics experience.*

PEOPLE - 40 %
Provides patients with exemplary customer service throughout their clinic visit.
Following up on lab or pathology results either with the patient, provider, or lab.
Make appropriate cosmetic recommendations to patients.

SERVICE - 40 %
Preparing patient to be seen by the provider.
Assisting the provider during treatment, to include: biopsies, wound care, cosmetics and others.
Calling in prescription to patient pharmacy.
Following treatment plan prescribed by the provider.
Clean and restock patient visit rooms

Monitors equipment to insure proper orientation and maintains said equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards.
Participates and attends in-service educational programs and staff meetings.
Complete appropriate auditing requirements

Maintains working knowledge of appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Bills appropriately for services rendered.
Makes appropriate cosmetic or retail product recommendations.

Reviews and participates in process review to improve efficiency.
Participates in achievement of clinic action plans to reach performance goals.

  • High School diploma or equivalent education (examples include: GED, verification of home school equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)

  • Previous dermatology experience required
  • Previous MA experience preferred

  • Medical Assistant certificate

  • Must have working knowledge of services and products sold by Advanced Dermatology.
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
