Quality Control – Lab Equipment

This position provides the opportunity to work directly with Quality Control management and staff to improve data accessibility related to QC Laboratory equipment. Coaching, mentorship, and guidance will be provided to the intern as they engage in the following project:

  • The intern will develop a Spotfire tool to pull information from Maximo and LMES to integrate data for a potential meter-based equipment maintenance program. Meter-based maintenance has already been implemented for some manufacturing equipment, so the intent is to extend the approach to QC equipment.
  • The intern will also improve the Maximo data for QC equipment (e.g. spare parts) to better align QC equipment data with Facilities and Engineering standards and expectations. Having spare parts identified in our Maximo system will allow for quick issue resolution when trouble-shooting equipment repairs, decreasing equipment down-time.
