The Cards Services Support Unit (CSSU) Operations Manager will support a centralized utility upholding AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) activities leveraging existing functions within Retail Services, Branded Cards, Compliance and Operations.
AML/KYC Cards Services Support Unit Operations/Project Manager
  • Network and build strong effective relationships with key partners including Operations, Compliance, Global AML and Risk
  • Lead and participate in the development of reporting and MIS to ensure Compliance and SLA’s achieved
  • Complete process documentation to ensure compliance
  • Consistently reach aggressive business-defined performance indicators with urgency and commitment
  • Motivate employee performance and continuously develop talent though encouragement, feedback and coaching
  • Serve as a role model in a culture of accountability, integrity and respect
  • Promote an environment of open communication
  • Participate in recruitment for the department and ensure retention of quality employees
  • Lead team members through onboarding processes 
  • Build extensive, solid working relationships across Operations, Technology, vendor and Citi teams as well as geographies
  • Independently manage, monitor, and ensure completion of all phases of multiple projects to insure successful delivery
  • Communicate project status and issues through the use of project documentation and verbal forums
  • Provide proactive and thorough identification and monitoring of project risks and their corresponding mitigation plans
  • Resolve complex project issues across business and technology teams
  • Partner with vendors to develop action plans and manage deliverables to ensure timeliness and quality adherence
  • Lead assessment of current processes for improvements
  • Responsible for achieving and monitoring aggressive targets


AML Compliance and KYC knowledge preferred
  • 10+ years of related leadership experience
  • Understanding of the business & financial industry
  • Operations Management preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
  • Ability to make sound decisions reflecting good judgment
  • Exceptional performance management abilities
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships and work across the organization in a multi-site matrix environment
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational change with a track record of innovation

  • Familiar with Brands and Retail Services Cards Systems
