An exciting new opportunity has become available in community centered clinic dedicated to enhancing health promotion and offering a holistic approach to pregnant and postpartum women for a Certified Nurse Midwife.

The Certified Nurse Midwife will be working in a maternity, pediatric clinic and birthing center that are part of an award-winning hospital in San Bernardino County. In recent years, this hospital has been voted as the Best Place to Work and then Best Place to have a baby. The have also been recognized with a Labor and Delivery Excellence Award which acknowledges hospitals nationally for lower than average risk of complications during the hospital stay. Baby friendly USA also designated this facility “Baby Friendly,” which means this hospital has an evidenced based maternity care program to ensure optimal infant feeding including skills and confidence breast feeding and safe formula feeding.

The Certified Nurse Midwife will help maintain a goal of ensuring women receive prenatal care during first trimester and beyond. The maternity clinic takes extra steps to encourage women by elevating self-esteem and empowering them with knowledge about self-care, child birth, and community resources. The services provided include prenatal care, counseling, 24-hour emergency line, health education, nutrition counseling, weight management, postpartum care with mother baby assessments, and community referrals.

Then Certified Nurse Midwife performs nursing process duties with a midwifery scope of practice on an interdisciplinary dedicated antepartum team. This position reports to the Director of Community Health Services. It is a full-time position with competitive pay and amazing benefits for the caring and ambitious Certified Nurse Midwife.
