The Qualis Controller has responsibility for managing all accounting and financial functions, mitigating risks preemptively, while providing leadership to the accounting team and continually striving for process improvement.
Directs all financial activities for the Qualis business, inclusive of daily transaction processing of receivables and payables, monthly close activities and cyclical forecasting, budgeting and reporting cycles.
Responsible for all internal financial reporting, tax packages, internal controls, and cost accounting and measurement of key financial metrics.
Prepare all financial reports, trial balance forecasts, profit and expense statements, and other reports supporting cost control.
Develops and manages financial controls in accordance with company procedures.
Prepare, understand, and present financial results in comparison to the annual business plan and periodic forecasting scenarios. Initiate and implement timely corrective action with plant leadership to capitalize on opportunities for improvement.
Develops and leads the finance team within Qualis. Provides clear goal setting, provides timely and effective feedback, prepares and delivers performance reviews.
Escalates matters that present risk to the business or require mitigation actions.
Work with corporate leadership to ensure accurate reporting and deadline compliance.
Leads continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
7 years of experience in progressively responsible roles. Solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts and GAAP. Supervisory experience desired.
Experience in aftermarket, automotive and/or distribution environment highly desired.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, reporting and analytics to drive decision making.
Superior Excel spreadsheet knowledge and ERP system experience. Infor/M3 desired.
Ability to communicate effectively both up and down within the company structure.
Able to build effective teams, coach and develop others and lead others through change and new strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
Must be able to pass a background screen and drug test prior to beginning employment.
