Position Description:
Software Configuration Management Specialist Product Development is seeking engineers to support vehicle embedded software change management process. The Software Configuration Management Specialist works closely with other groups, by defining global change management practices that span all projects, organizing and participating in change governance board meetings, and performing configuration management audits at key quality gates.

Responsibilities:
-Implement company software change governance process for suppliers, embedded software engineers, and company product engineers from the respective departments.
-Responsible for scheduling, conducting, and following-up on all change management reviews; driving root cause analysis.
-Responsible for the successful planning, scheduling, coordination, communication and execution of design and software changes.
-Ensure accuracy in regards to proper categorization and prioritization of incidents.
-Define and enforce compliance with change management policy, process and controls.
-Measure change success rate and identify automation opportunities.
-Contribute to the design of Change Management process, data modeling and reporting, policies, and procedures.
-Provide training, coaching and guidance to internal teams, growing change governance best practices throughout the organization.
-Review supplier software change management process including consulting activities regarding process improvements and monitoring of the implementation of measures.
-Perform software lessons learned by leveraging various root cause analysis methodologies; identify and define corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
-Continuously improve software change governance process by enhancing requirements and process metrics based on lessons learned.

Requirements:
Skills Required:
-Experience in software quality assurance
-Experience in Automotive Safety Standards (ISO26262) and MISRA standard for C /C++
-Experience in Software Model Based Design and Auto-code generation

Skills Preferred:
-Expertise developing change management artifacts including Stakeholder Analysis, Risk Assessments and Impact Assessments.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills,
-A quick learner who functions well in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Experience Required:
-4+ years of relevant experience in software configuration and build management.
-4+ years of experience in the definition and implementation of the organizational Software Configuration Management environment and processes.
-4+ years of experience working in a software development team environment, interfacing with Software, Hardware, Systems and Test Engineers.
-Expertise developing change management artifacts including Stakeholder Analysis, Risk Assessments and Impact Assessments.
-4+ years of experience in the software development of embedded systems
-2+ years of experience with software testing methods
-1+ year of experience with standards and assessment models in the field of software development (Automotive SPICE and / or CMMI)

Experience Preferred:
-Experience in software quality assurance Experience in Automotive Safety Standards (ISO26262) and MISRA standard for C /C++ Experience in Software Model Based Design and Auto-code generation

Education Required:
-Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering.

Education Preferred:
-Masters Degree
