Title: Programmer/Analyst
System developer in Cherwell Service Management with ability to modify screens, add required fields, and develop automation scripts.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide technical support for Service Management and Asset Tracking software environment
Resolve incidents, identify problems, and fulfill requests within established Service Level Agreements relating to Service Management or Asset Tracking software
Configure and/or customize Service Management software with JavaScript based on the approved and prioritized enhancements
Configure and troubleshoot applications running on both Windows and Linux using log files and command line scripts/batch files
Develop reports using MS Reporting Services
Create data extract, transfer and load scripts using SQL Server Integration Services ( SSIS)
On call support: after hours and weekends as per rotation schedule
Stay knowledgeable and keep current in Service Management and Asset Tracking software
Understand Service Transition and Service Operations processes within IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 release 2011
Review and evaluate functional designs for completeness and accuracy
Understanding of waterfall and agile system development lifecycle
Ability to work as part of a team, rotating assignments as necessary
Follow coding standard to promote consistent Service Management development work
Document resolution to defects assigned during testing cycles
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk
Must be able to view/focus on a computer monitor for multiple hours at a time
Must be able to clearly communicate in English
May require occasional travel
Regular and punctual attendance
QUALIFICATIONS:
4 year degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience
5 – 8 plus years of programming experience with a minimum of 3 years in comparable systems development role
Working knowledge of HP Service Manager, BMC Remedy, CA Service Management, ServiceNow, or Cherwell Service Management
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems including batch/shell scripting
Working knowledge of MS Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Experience developing data integrations between applications
Working knowledge of PCs including software and hardware
Working knowledge of Webservice integrations (SOAP, REST and JSON)
Working knowledge of communication software and protocols (HTTP, FTP, SSH, etc.)
