Responsibilities for Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS)

Provides one on one mental health interventions to a child or adolescent under the age of 21, with a serious emotional disturbance. The goal of the TSS services is to prevent the client from entering a more restrictive setting or service. Moreover, the TSS may be prescribed to integrate or reintegrate the client into normalizing settings and activities.

All services rendered by TSS are rendered in the home, school, and community settings. No services are provided in the office setting.

Requirements for Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS)

  • BS/BA Degree in a Human Service Field (examples include but not limited to: Psychology, Education/Teacher, Sociology, Criminal Justice) with no experience (experience preferred)
  • OR... BS/BA Degree in a non-Human Service field with a least one year paid experience with children and/or families
  • OR... AA Degree in a Human Service field (or 60 credits toward a BS/BA degree) and at least three years paid experience with children and/or families.
  • In addition, Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background and FBI Clearances must be obtained (CBH will assist you in obtaining these clearances).
  • Travel is a must so a valid PA Driver’s License is necessary.

Compensation package includes: above industry starting rate of pay, paid leave time, holidays, 401 K match, and a complete medical benefit package including hospitalization, prescription, dental, and eye coverage for full time employees. Reimbursement for training, clearances, and paid travel time

Salary: $14.00 /hour
