The role of the Clinical Coordinator is to provide support to the clinical staff on all aspects of the patient care. The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for the daily clinical functions of the assigned practice. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the expert for coordinating procedures, patient visits and to ensure quality patient care. This position works closely with the Practice Manager in coordinating physician clinical scheduling needs for the office.
Maintains a current knowledge of all clinical departmental policies, procedures and functions in order to make appropriate scheduling decisions.
Ensures adherence of registration staff to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, and issues disciplinary action when appropriate
Develop and implement clinical process improvement.
Identify, report, and provide input to manager regarding any clinical process issues.
Responsible to ensure all necessary supplies are available and order if needed.
Monitors, review and interprets reports generated by the system.
Corrects and analyzes errors from all points of patient scheduling.
Works on special projects assigned by Supervisor, Manager, or Director
Required Minimum Education:
CMA or LPN
Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or Ohio LPN license
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
3 years of physician practice experience
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a strong knowledge of outstanding customer service/patient experience.
