We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern of the Strategic Supply Chain Department located at our site in Burbank, CA. As an Intern at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to a functional area (such as manufacturing, engineering, and lean principles). You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments. You may be assigned to additional training or project work. The Company's internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitoring databases for Crane A&E technical data. Collect & analyze information from blue print designs and enter into databases. Maintain lists of component information and export into various formats for other business users. In addition generate reports from the database and track other metrics as necessary
• Develop standard guidelines or processes in how information should flow through various internal organizations and update information as required and contribute to routine documentation processing workflows
• Resolve information gaps by contacting internal technical teams as required to gather policy information and other missing data and update systems and records as appropriate
• Meet auditing requirements by accurately entering data and maintaining data integrity in the Crane A&E information system to minimize risk and uphold internal standards
• Complete high volume of data entry by quickly and accurately processing blue print reviews to meet project timelines
• Build skills and knowledge of Crane A&E manufacturing designs and provide feedback, participating in cross-training and learning additional processes and procedures to support multiple projects and contribute to the strategic sourcing

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in manufacturing, supply chain or engineering
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprint designs
• Skills:
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills in a team environment
  • Must be project-oriented and be able to multi-task
  • Knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to fulfill a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per week
• Education/Certification: Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale.

Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
