A postdoctoral scholar "postdoc" is an individual holding a doctoral degree who is engaged in a temporary and defined period, typically less than 5 years, of mentored research and/or advanced scholarly training for the purpose of acquiring the professional skills needed to pursue a career path of his/her choosing. Performs research under the supervision and mentorship of a more senior researcher, often called the postdoctoral advisor.
Ideal candidate have previous basic science cancer research experience. Experience in animal models of cancer is preferred.
Please note, position is Grant Funded.
This position will work Monday to Friday; 8am-4:30pm; depending upon research needs position may require evening, weekend, and holiday work.
Qualifications:Doctorate Degree
1-3 years' experience;
Previous basic science cancer research experience;
Experience in animal models of cancer is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;
Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
