Under general supervision, provides a wide variety of laboratory testing and technical lab support for a research facility. Requires knowledge of the processes/procedures in testing, documenting experiments, maintaining laboratory notebook, analyzing data, and reporting using complex statistical computer software.
Performs animal experiments, collects and prepares tissue for histological and/or biochemical analyses and imaging.
Prepares solutions and performs molecular biology experiments
Completes forms and enters purchasing data to keep a bookkeeping system and budget for the Department
Purchases and stocks lab. Orders chemical and equipment. Prepares solutions and cleans-up after the event. Process excess reagents and hazardous waste for disposal.
Manage genetically modified rodent colonies, collect information, record results, and maintains precise and up-to-date records relative to all colonies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
Detail oriented;

Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
