Job Summary

Looking for a full-time Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator/Specialist with experience in sales, insurance verification/limits, professional phone skills, documentation, inventory management, and returning customer phone calls in a timely manner.

Should be willing to work at each of our office locations in Dallas, Plano and McKinney.

You will LOVE working at Dallas Sleep! We have a great team of people , and we enjoy what we do! We close at 3:00 PM on Fridays! No evening or weekend hours. Great work/life balance!

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred. Medical office experience is preferred. Must have sales experience or have natural talent for sales and organization. Also, must be proficient and quick in completing documentation. Should be well-organized to manage inventory properly and effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Medical equipment sales to our patients and customers
  • Verifying health insurance benefits, prior to dispensing/selling medical equipment
  • Pulling claims for supplies sold and making sure all corrections are made before submitting
  • Regular, professional phone and email communication with our patients and customers
  • Management of equipment of inventory and re-ordering equipment when necessary
  • Direct patient education about their medical equipment and answer any questions
  • Work on recalling patients for medical equipment resupply orders
  • Work at each of our office locations when needed (in Plano, Dallas and McKinney)
  • Work as a teammate and help out in other areas when needed

Qualifications and Skills

Skills required:

1. Good written and verbal English skills

2. Have experience and skills required of a Medical Equipment Sales Rep (or be a quick learner, will train!), specifically being adept at handling in-bound customer phone calls, verifying health insurance, charting/documentation, patient education, inventory management, communicating effectively, returning patients' phone calls, and providing excellent customer service

3. Comfortable and willing to learn new things, as it relates to health care for our patients

4. Be well-organized, with attention to detail

5. Have an interest in helping people, with a positive attitude

6. Communicate clearly and effectively with both customers/patients and our staff members

7. Be technically savvy, especially as it relates to computer use and electronic medical records

8. Team players with initiative wanted.
