The Buffalo Niagara International Airport has approximately 110 daily flights with nonstop service to 23 airports, the Buffalo Niagara International Airport plays an essential role in the development of business and tourism in the Buffalo Niagara region. Travel Hospitality Services operates food/beverage and retail stores throughout the airport, such as the Anchor Bar, Coffee Beanery, Queen City Kitchen, Which Wich, Lake Erie Grill, Villa, Checkers, Blue Zone Bar, JetSet Market and more.

Travel hospitality operates 4 Travel Plazas on the NYS Thruway – Pembroke, Scottsville, Seneca and Clarence. Our 24-hour operations house franchised concepts such as Tim Horton’s, Arby’s, Checker’s, Villa Pizza and Go Dega retail shops.


The Opportunity

The Multi- Unit Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and reporting functions for multiple units including accounting, payroll, annual plan, audit assistance and cash management.

Manages day-to-day all unit(s) operations of the accounting department, including supervision of accounting and cash room personnel; preparation, review and approval of: Daily Sales Report, accounts receivable, payroll, and accounts payable. Ensures paperwork gets processed accurately, timely, with correct numbers. Also responsible for analyzing and reporting variances, monthly financial projections, month-end accounting duties, oversees audit requirements and cash management. Implementation and enforcement of internal controls; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Prepare reports which outline unit(s)'s financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings; provide proper preparation of statements after consultation with appropriate Corporate Management. Communicate with various corporate headquarter departments including accounting, financial planning and analysis, in exchange of information. Work closely with these departments to identify and resolve issues.

In conjunction with Sub Finance Director & unit(s) GMs, coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual plan budget and financial forecast.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience for a multi-unit(s)/multi-department operation of similar size and complexity, including previous supervisory experience.

Hospitality environment experience highly preferred.

Previous supervisory experience required.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Analytical abilities, good planning & organizational skills

Strong computer skills, including MS Office, and PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion or similar accounting software.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Ability to communicate with management regarding financials
