Assists Facility Manager in overall day-to-day terminal operations. Conducts operational tasks for receipt, storage and delivery of bulk petroleum products in a safe and environmentally sound manner and in accordance with established procedures.

• Conducts tank gauging for month-end inventory and product receipts and transfers.
• Coordinates and monitors product receipt and transfer operations (marine, pipeline, truck, or rail, as applicable), including proper valve and piping alignment.
• Conducts aviation product tank drainage on a daily basis and records results in accordance with established procedures.
• Assists third party drivers in tank truck loading, as necessary.
• Assists and/or conducts meter calibrations, as needed.
• Operates Forklift and other vehicles, as needed - CDL required at some terminals.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb tanks and buildings up to 100 feet in height, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Terminal operations are frequently 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, and work schedules may be arranged to provide coverage for all operational hours.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, high elevated locations, and in outside weather conditions, both day and night.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but when employee is out in the field, noise levels could be loud.
• Employee must be aware of and comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
• Employee may work various shifts and days from week-to-week.
  

• Ability to effectively lead employees
• Mechanical aptitude
• Capable of using computer systems and software, particularly Excel, Word, and SAP
• Working knowledge of company policies, procedures and governmental regulations that affect Distribution operations
• Basic knowledge of petroleum products, terminal equipment, and operations
• Previous experience in petroleum industry (preferred, but not a prerequisite)
