XTO Accounting Analyst

XTO Energy Inc. is seeking Finance or Accounting professionals with at least 3 years of experience in the oil & gas industry to fill select analyst and accounting roles within the XTO Controllers organization.

Job Role Responsibilities

XTO Energy Inc. is seeking Finance or Accounting professionals with at least 3 years of experience in the oil & gas industry to fill select analyst and accounting roles within the XTO Controllers organization. Depending on the specific role, job assignments may include the following activities:

• Business analysis and reporting of financial and operating results
• Assistance with a business unit's financial plan and operating forecasts
• Advise operating management on cost stewardship, controls, and financial processes
• Responsibility for revenue, major project cost, or other financial processes supporting XTO's operations
• Preparing and analyze financial performance reports
• Providing broad financial support to operating and financial organizations
• Monitoring general ledger entries and processing streams to ensure the reliability of general ledger information.
• Providing expertise on the use of financial data, the application of accounting guidelines, standards, procedures, and policies

Many of our initial positions are located at office facilities in Fort Worth, Texas currently but will be relocating to Houston, Texas in summer 2020. You can expect to rotate through a few assignments in the first four to five years allowing for a variety of experiences to build skills and knowledge.

Expected Level of Proficiency

• Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s or Masters in Accounting preferred
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in an accounting or financial analyst roles in the oil & gas industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SAP, Excel preferred
