The Logistics Manager is the liaison between construction projects and Excellerate. This person would be the single point of contact for all tooling, manufacturing, material and PPE needs. The position’s primary goal is to eliminate secondary time by applying the 80/20 principle to make sure all materials, assemblies and additional supplies needed are on time, accurate, and are staged on the jobsite as close as possible to the point of use to maximize 30/30. This person would also engage in pre-bid project strategy meetings and work with preconstruction to help identify opportunities for assemblies. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, and basic electrical knowledge is preferred.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Associate Degree
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of electrical field experience, purchasing, manufacturing, and/or distribution experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interacts with job superintendents to identify opportunities to add value on the jobsites and to ensure that expectations are met with regard to requests.
  • Work with Engineering, Excellerate, Purchasing, Tooling and all other departments to effectively communicate jobsite expectations and ensure that they are met.
  • Proactively looks for opportunities to plan ahead for future needs on the job.
  • Participates in planning and project meetings to ensure important information is transferred for successful execution.
  • Expedites shipments, deliveries, and/or returns as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with Project Manager, Superintendent, and Excellerate to determine areas, systems, or assemblies that can be prefabricated to improve efficiency during installation.
  • Assists in the creation and/or improvement of logistical strategies to meet project expectations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates an acceptance of the company culture (adhere to company values) and an adoption of professional standards.
  • Demonstrates approachability and ability to collaborate with others and effectively influence.
  • Develops relationships with leaders, direct reports, and/or others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Defines work to be done; clearly communicates vision, objectives, and tasks to appropriate individuals. Delegates tasks to appropriate parties; clearly communicates needs and expectations. Measures and monitors the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s). Coaches and motivates direct reports/appropriate individuals to effectively perform; removes barriers to success and provides feedback, necessary resources, and open communication.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
