DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical direction and support for assigned production departments. Lead equipment installations and product launch activities. Develop and update manufacturing engineering documents and procedures. This position is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering activities to
improve operational efficiency, cost and quality, and manage plant capacity.
Provide guidance in the creation of internal manufacturing standards and procedures.
Coordinate and conduct manufacturing tests on machines and processes to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives.
Supervise trial runs on equipment and processes to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives.
Train production and salaried personnel on equipment and processes.
Analyze and evaluate manufacturing capacity requirements and constraints and define opportunities for improvement in capital expenditure and capacity utilization.
Develop and implement capital expense budget.
Develop product routings to determine manufacturing processes and equipment.
Lead program management efforts to ensure that manufacturing processes are in accordance with customer requirements.
Manage Tool Room operation.
Perform other job-related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical degree.
Five years experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in progressive stamping and tool room operation preferred
Experience with stamping press relocation/installation preferred
