Financial Services Representative I

This position works one day a week, Friday for 8 hours.

Summary:

Able to perform all aspects of FSR I and handles receiving and paying of routine transactions for customers within defined limits. May perform well with more complex transactions: keeps accurate records. Balances daily within standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers in a friendly and engaging manner.
  • Accepts deposits, issues withdrawals and cashes check.
  • Accepts coupon, installment loan, reserve account and credit card payments.
  • Balances cash can each day.
  • Sells bank drafts, bonds and travelers checks; collects appropriate fees.
  • Redeems Series E savings bonds.
  • Prepares cash tickets for cash transactions.
  • Takes Federal Tax Deposits.
  • Accepts requests for stop payments.
  • Accepts items for collection.
  • Closes checking and savings accounts.
  • Operates computer terminal.
  • Cross-sells Bank services and products.
  • Sets example for other employees by following bank policies and using best practices at all times.
  • Answer customer questions regarding overdraft situations.
  • Observes override authority limits.
  • Researches and resolves card problems.
  • Certified Safe Deposit Box “admitting” procedures.
  • Routinely processes change of address and closed account code changes.
  • Completes Currency Transaction Reports and Chronological Logs with minimum assistance.
  • Is knowledgeable in Bank’s specialized product departments.
  • Complies with all applicable Banking compliance rules and regulations established by both internal departments and external agencies.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Six months to one year bank operations experience. Demonstrable high quality customer service skills. Passing score on assessment task.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of PC's, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, 10-key, photocopier, facsimile machines, telephone systems and other office equipment.
