Role Summary: We are accelerating our journey of improvement to develop a world-class finance org supporting a ~$17B global business serving patients/customers/suppliers/employees. In a changing market, we are investing/expanding Finance Lean capability to take accountability of, disrupt & enable its end state finance vision across master data governance, enterprise performance mgmt, process automation, ERP automation, one-day close, self-service reporting, op business intelligence& decision support.

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability and simplification in the GE Healthcare business key finance processes. This includes providing change leadership using Change Acceleration Process (CAP) methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives.
Partner with key business and functional leaders to understand, define and drive the implementation of Lean strategies and processes across their process/regional finance teams.
Design and deliver a lean execution strategy across key horizontal finance processes (commercial finance, order-to-cash, source-to-pay, record-to-report, finance planning and analysis, product finance, employee related etc) and regions aligned with global finance’s goals and objectives.
Develop value stream maps for the finance organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of Lean techniques.
Connect broadly across the region to engage the finance organization at all levels to generate and implement potential solutions.
Facilitates value stream mapping sessions, action work outs, kaizens and develops model lines to show case results for the finance function.
Utilize Lean, Change and Project Management principles, methods, tools and techniques in combination with training, coaching and influencing skills to achieve specific project objectives/outcomes.
Establish appropriate operating rhythms with key stakeholders to communicate progress, providing coaching and plan action workouts.
Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization.
Train the finance teams in the use of Lean tools to drive significant business impact.
Partner with other regional finance lean leaders to create a comprehensive Lean strategy for the Finance Value Stream, with targeted focus on top areas of constraint.
Leverage a continuous learning mindset by seeking best practices from the external and internal communities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and initiatives/lean processes
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros)

Desired Characteristics:
Trained and/or certified in LEAN process improvement
Proven Lean experience: significantly experienced in successfully implementing Lean/Lean Projects in an operational and industrial business setting
Minimum foundational level of appreciation of the Finance function and it’s key activities
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change, provides data driven insights
Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements; able to quickly grasp new ideas
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions, execute with a high sense of urgency, and ability to constructively challenge the status quo
