JOB TITLE: Assistant Driver

SUMMARY:

The Assistant Driver is responsible for assisting the driver with delivering processed goods to our retail locations. This also includes bringing back salvage and supplies from our retail locations to the Distribution Center. Additional duties may include unloading trailers of donated goods and property and doing special corporate donation pick-ups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the driver in delivery of prepared goods to retail locations.
  • Returns salvage and supplies from the stores to the plant.
  • Picks up corporate and customer donations as needed
  • Provides a high level of customer service to our internal and external customer base
  • Keeps track of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and state inspection.
  • Sorts and delivers information and items to the stores from the Retail Enterprise office.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Any level of education with the ability to read, write and communicate.
  • Requires acceptable results of CORI check according to Goodwill policy and requirements.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to push/pull hampers of merchandise on wheels up to 250 pounds. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus.
  • Position requires standing for long periods of time.
