Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership role within the Financial Planning department
  • Develop templates, models and tools to drive the planning, forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Manage the rolling forecast and budget preparation processes, providing guidance to Accountants and division management. Develop presentations and reporting that communicates trends, highlight opportunities and risks to drive positive change in the business.
  • Manage the reporting of monthly and quarterly budget variance packets for assigned departments and utilize financial information and business metrics to develop reports and presentations for senior management Work with department leaders to integrate departmental initiatives with company-wide objectives by challenging and validating their assumptions and inputs throughout the planning, forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Consolidate planning, forecasting and budgeting inputs from departments to produce division-wide views that align with enterprise objectives
  • Responsible for understanding the business strategies, operations and initiatives of designated departments and ensuring proper accounting is applied; Responsible for ensuring changes in plans are properly valued and included in the budget/forecast in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on project cost tracking for significant investments to ensure expenditures are within approved budget and benefits are realized
  • Manage and support month-end closing process and review monthly accrual account reconciliations
  • Define standardized reporting packages and work with IT, supported departments, and FP&A counterparts to drive reporting automation
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and provide financial and accounting guidance to department leaders

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance or related field
  • 6+ years work experience with emphasis in finance, budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Airline experience preferred
