Healthstat is seeking a qualified Health and Wellness Coach Supervisor looking to be an integral part of our culture where people come first, and we strive to make a difference. Personal health is our priority!! Our clinics generate healthy and happy employees!

Purpose:

Facilitate, develop, monitor, measure, and report on health, wellness, and condition management programs that complement the Health and Wellness Clinic maintained and coordinated by Healthstat, Inc. The Health & Wellness Coach will present information about how to improve health, prevent disease, and modify health behaviors to individual patients through one-on-one health & wellness coaching, as well as to client groups. In addition, the Health & Wellness Coach will serve to coordinate efforts among all client vendors to provide cohesiveness of services and to better engage the client population. He or she will also be responsible for creating and writing educational materials, conducting meetings, and planning informative, interesting, and effective programs. The Health & Wellness Coach Supervisor will supervise all Wellness Coordinators assigned to the client. These duties are carried out for a specific client at its various locations.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, implement, and promote health, wellness, and chronic disease programs that emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyles. Some of these program topics will include, but are not limited to Tobacco Cessation, Diabetes Management, Hypertension Management, COPD Management, Cardiac Management, Exercise and Physical Activity, Weight Management, and Weight Maintenance. The programs will include step-by-step implementation plans, program details, resources needed, goals for success, and all tools needed to successfully complete the program
  • Provide health & wellness coaching in both individual and group settings
  • Supervise all Wellness Coordinators assigned to specific client
  • Develop a plan to educate the on-site providers about Disease Management and Wellness modules
  • Develop and implement programs to improve well-being of client population
  • Plan and/or assist with client wellness fairs including speakers, health-related demonstrations, displays, and video materials provided by local agencies, insurance carriers, local/regional agencies, hospitals, and other resources
  • Measure, monitor, and report on efficacy of all health, wellness, and disease management programs
  • Review client HRA information, as applicable, and consult on wellness information, compliance program design, and effectiveness of wellness programs
  • Draft executive summary on HRA summary report
  • Participate in education sessions coordinated by Healthstat clients for their respective, eligible employees
  • Consult on wellness and disease management topics at the request of other benefit consultants, brokers and others in the wellness industry, as needed
  • Prepare and distribute a list of available community health agencies, hotlines for drug/alcohol abuse, abuse, and crisis intervention to be available to and used by the on-site clinic providers in their contacts with patients
  • Coordinate efforts with other vendors (carriers, EAP, etc.) to inform client population of all available resources
  • Contribute to and maintain the Healthstat database to stay current on new, innovative techniques to promote health, wellness, and chronic disease prevention and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in health education, health promotion, exercise science, nutrition, psychology, or other health-related subject and at least 3 years of experience in developing, monitoring, measuring, communicating, and reporting on health- related topics and programs OR
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in health education, health promotion, exercise science, nutrition, psychology, or other health-related subject and at least 1 year of experience in developing, monitoring, measuring, communicating, and reporting on health- related topics and programs
  • Completion certificate of National Consortium for Credentialing Health and Wellness Coaches (NCCHWC) accredited Health/Wellness Coach Program or within 1 year of hire date. Eligible to sit for the National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach exam.
  • Certified Health Education Specialist strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPPA compliance and regulations
  • Experience creating wellness program materials, particularly in employer-based settings
  • Experience working as a health and wellness coach or integrating wellness/fitness initiatives into the culture of an organization
  • Demonstrated competence in multi-tasking
  • Experience leading and developing presentations. High energy personal style and aptitude for process-oriented thinking
  • Demonstrated passion for health and wellness
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products

  • Internal contact with Wellness, Client Services, Clinic Operations, Clinic and Support staff
