Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager is responsible for all aspects of the order packing and routing process. This includes but is not limited to ensure logistics team is packing orders in ERP system, routing orders, generating shipping labels. The Logistics Manager is the key point person for routing and shipment inquiries. Logistics Manager is also responsible for communicating with the warehouse team on status of orders and providing up to date information to the account managers and rest of logistics team.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the logistics department and its team members
  • Encourage, train and grow logistics team to achieve maximum productivity
  • Responsible for Packing Slip and label creation for all pick tickets generated by Account Managers
  • Review orders in pick status to ensure on time picking
  • Follow shipping policy and procedures per customer routing guide
  • Responsible for preparing USPS, UPS, FedEx and other carrier shipment labels
  • Generate UCC128 labels and carton labels for EDI customers.
  • Responsible for reviewing and logging all pick tickets submitted to the warehouse for processing
  • Review status of all orders in the warehouse to ensure on time shipment
  • Communicate any out of stocks to account managers
  • Ensure proper and accurate routing through customer portals
  • Generate BOLs and schedule freight pick ups
  • Order Zebra printer Shipping labels from Fed-Ex
  • Review Label usage and assess future needs
  • Return all pick tickets to Account Managers for invoicing
  • Provide tracking information to the account managers for all labels generated
  • Review Orders Shipped Report
  • Ensure team members are trained on all routing portals
  • Review routing guides to ensure proper routing of goods to customers

Required Skills

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to details
