About the Company

Our Client, an experienced construction project management group in Erie, Pennsylvania, has an opening for an industrial and commercial Construction Estimator. The client has experienced in industrial, institutional, and commercial construction for over 60 years and has developed a high level of trust due to their management, coordination, and delivering on what is promised.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate is expected to have experience estimating industrial and commercial construction projects and become an effective liaison between project managers, subcontractors and the client.


  • Estimating costs of projects including raw materials, labor, equipment, tools and affiliated logistical/transportation activities
  • Vetting and evaluate suppliers for price, quality, and timelines of product/service to meet organizations standards
  • Possess technical skills to read and utilize blueprint and architectural drawings to determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and established budget
  • Determine the required resources to complete projects in a cost effective and timely manner are critical for success in this position
  • Utilize existing and obtained information to process information in a timely and effective manner to serve as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors and clients.
  • Perform other Construction Estimator duties required to ensure the success of the organization
  • Applicable computer skills such as Microsoft Office and construction software

Education and Experience

  • Commercial and Industrial projects is a must for consideration
  • Four-year affiliated degree and/or 5+ years of experience in construction or a directly related field
  • Track record of exemplary experience within the Commercial and Industrial Construction Estimating arena
  • The organization will also consider individuals with civil/structural engineering degree/experience; construction engineering or a similar engineering degree/experience who wants to learn the Commercial/Industrial construction estimating field

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $59,000.00 to $78,000.00 /year
