Kimberley Harrison Interiors is a full-service Interior Design Firm located in the east bay Lamorinda area with projects spanning the entire bay area. We are seeking an experienced interior designer for a Temporary full-time position that may lead to permanent full-time. The temporary position will span anywhere from 4-6 months. We seek an Interior Designer with a high level of maturity, as this business is intense and fast-paced. Candidate must be extremely organized, resourceful, self-sufficient, a skilled listener, an efficient problem solver, flexible and have a positive, cheerful attitude. The Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by taking design direction from the Principal and work with the design team to manage all aspects of each project.
-Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
-3-5 years of residential design experience
-Manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
-Must be visionary, creative and design savvy
-Proficient in AutoCad or similar, Adobe Photoshop/Creative Suite
-Knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign a plus
-Highly Proficient in Excel, Word and Google Docs
-Excellent communication skills – clear, proactive and prompt for both written and verbal when interfacing with clients, vendors, contractors and teammates.

-Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines
-Highly organized with the ability to breakdown each project into tasks, delegating where appropriate, while adhering to project timelines.
-Possess strong judgment and skill in time management knowing how much time is appropriate per task
-Highly motivated, proactive, self-starter who has a keen sense of urgency and follow through
-Curious and not afraid to ask questions
-Must have valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable vehicle
-Must be able to work as part of a team and contribute to the positive energy within the firm
-Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humor – we like to have fun!
-Work directly with Principal to design and manage projects
-Implement Principal’s design vision for the project
-Take concept development direction from the firm’s Principal and lead team through all phases of the project
-Supervise and coach Jr. Designer
-Research and select furnishings, fixtures and finishes
-Create mood boards, floor plans, drawings and elevations
-Prepare client proposals for approval and purchasing
-Follow up with vendors on lead time, quotes and specifications
-Consistent communication with both clients and vendors to keep the project running smoothly and on time
-Design and create drawings for custom built-ins and furniture
-Research specifications required for drawings
-Assist with installations and photo shoots
-Prepare, manage and maintain all project binders
-Research new vendors, products and materials
-Contribute to the firm in a manner that continually elevates our work and our style
Salary: Commensurate upon experience
