McKesson is hiring a VP, Communications & Marketing Programs.
The VP of Communications and Marketing Programs is responsible for all McKesson Medical-Surgical communications functions: internal and external communications, marketing communications, and trade shows/events, as well as marketing programs. Marketing programs include sales facing initiatives to drive engagement and focus on key priorities among the sales representative population. Additionally, marketing programs encompasses customer facing programs to drive loyalty and an increase in McKesson’s share of the “customer wallet”.
The VP of Communications owns the McKesson Medical Surgical (MMS) annual and long-term strategy and plan for the communications functions and programs and is responsible for continuous improvement of the team. Directs and controls the activities of the team through several sub-department managers. Has responsibility for strategic planning, budget planning and adherence, employee development, executive communications, and plays a key role on the Marketing Leadership team.
Refresh and execute a holistic communication strategy to include all integration, internal and external communications, marketing communications, and trade shows/events. Includes crafting key messages for events and providing guidance and coaching to executives delivering internal and external messages.
Drive enhancement of our strategies for sales and customer engagement to drive measurable, positive impact on key initiatives. Guide necessary investments and coordinate with key stakeholders across the organization.
Continue to develop digital strategy and platforms. Help execute the marketing plan and use various channels available to effectively communicate to internal employees, customers, and industry.
Work closely with McKesson corporate marketing on brand alignment and execution, digital tool development, and events to leverage the power of McKesson.
Continuously develop people and improve processes for these shared services
Responsible for directing the development of company marketing programs. Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, product life-cycle planning, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch. Activities may include technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, planning, developing and implementing multiple channel programs, and directing the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s).
12+ years of marketing experience including 10+ years managerial experience
Demonstrated experience leading large teams, with proven output
Demonstrated experience creating a communications strategy & managing marketing shared services
Experience working in a matrix environment
Proven leadership experience in overseeing various facets of communication (ie: Marketing, public relations etc)
Ability to build strong relationships across business lines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to grow talent within team
Experience working in a healthcare, and large public company
Experience working with Sr Executives on various communication plans
Experience with digital and social media
4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
General Office Demands
Ability to operate and carry a laptop
