Position Description

The Talent Management Leader will partner with the business’ executive and leadership teams, Human Resource Business Partners and McKesson Centers of Expertise to improve business performance by leading and executing critical talent strategies for the division. Located in Richmond, Virginia and a part of the divisions Human Resources leadership team, the Talent Management leader and his or her local and remote team will collaborate with others to:

assess and develop our division wide talent strategy
lead from concept to realization division specific talent development, diversity, recognition and engagement strategies
oversee consulting and facilitation of organizational, team and individual effectiveness improvement plans
spearhead change, cultural assimilation and effectiveness
champion employee experience, recognition and engagement strategies
provide frameworks to deliver key HRBP strategies for organizational design, change, team effectiveness
foster OD/OE skill in HRBPs; provide over the shoulder consulting with HRBPs
measure outcomes of talent strategies
connect to, lead and execute McKesson wide talent management strategies (succession planning, performance management, diversity, employee opinion, assessment, iLead, iCare; integrate use of COE frameworks and tools

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

12+ years in Human Resources, preferably in HR business partnership, organizational development or talent development roles

Critical Skills

12+ years in Human Resources, preferably in HR business partnership, organizational development or talent development roles
Prefer 3+ years of management experience
Business Partnership and Acumen - Uses insight into organizations long range plan, internal and external business environment to develop talent strategies to improve people outcomes and business performance;
Organizational Effectiveness - Ability to lead and apply organizational effectiveness and development methodology and theory in a large and complex organization;
Talent Development and Management – Has advanced talent management best practice capability
Organizational Design – Strong knowledge of organizational design principles and best practices; partners with COE / others to develop methods and approaches for division wide and segment OD efforts;
Change Management – Ability to influence and shape approach to change efforts of large scale business initiatives;
Leadership and Influence - Anticipates talent needs, provides thought guidance; is able to influence outcomes; has a point of view and can articulate it effectively; communicates with business relevance;
Metric Use and Development - Uses data driven business information (analytics); demonstrates ability to extract insight from analysis; translates impact of HR solutions via measurable results.

Education

4-year degree in Business, Organizational Development or HR related field, Masters preferred

Physical Requirements
Requires up to 20% domestic travel
