Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
- * Performs incoming inspection of machined and molded parts, resins and other material using measurement equipment such as micrometers, pin and ring gauges and automated inspection equipment including CMMs. * Processes customer returns, keeping records, inspecting for condition and transacting inventory in SAP. * Observe /Audit production to ensure that they are following procedures as well as making required visual inspections. * Administers Customer Complaints in the form of SAP QNs, reviewing initial information logged to classify the complaint and determine needed action and assigning responsibility for tasks. * Administers the calibration records of the company's measurement equipment in a database, generating lists of equipment due for calibration and processing the equipment. * Attend shift changes in packaging, communicate to packagers key issues relating to defects and to customer complaints. * Keeps records in Word, Excel and databases and performs simple data manipulation and analysis..
- High School diploma or equivalent; or combination of education and experience. four years experience in manufacturing or packaged products environment.. This is an entry to mid level Quality Assurance position. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization. Strong English writing skill and ability to write step by step procedures a strong plus. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole and fractional numbers. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. * Capable of using enterprise data systems and word processing/spreadsheet software. * Experience programing CMMs are a strong plus. * Experience administering or participating in corrective action systems a strong plus.
