Recruit (PDMR) is an important contributor to Microsoft's partner engagement strategy as part of the One Commercial Partner Organization (OCP). PDMR Identifies, qualifies, onboards, and enables strategic, net-new partners to develop their solution on the Microsoft platform. Contact target partner to evangelize profitability of Microsoft relationship, Microsoft value proposition, and quantify market opportunity for the partner. Coordinate engagement of Microsoft team required to enable/skill up partner and manage solution development (ie training and technical teams). Assure the new solution is discoverable in Microsoft’s Marketplace. Create/execute a go-to-market plan to capture new business for the partner. Coordinate with Microsoft sales teams to achieve first customer wins.

Responsibilities

The Partner Business And Development Manager is responsible for initial outreach to partners who are nominated from Microsoft Executives and from other sources. Effectively handle 800-1000 strategic partner nomination requests annually. Lead introductory partner discussions to determine solution architecture, current state, and partner potential across various industries with the intent of transitioning to the proper internal team. Qualifier PDMR will also drive efforts secondarily with partners as needed to drive solutions into the Microsoft Modern Marketplace.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in core sales experience, partner channel development, business development, alliance management in the technology industry
  • Experience with technology platforms and developing new solutions
  • Experience working with multiple virtual teams across functions and geographies
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort
  • Challenger mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through
  • Experience in direct communications with technology alliance partners preferred
  • Bachelor degree desired (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations)
