Position Summary:

Milan Laser is growing, we’re currently in 15 states and have over 50 locations, with plans to expand throughout the nation. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Web Designer to join our team.

The Web Designer will be responsible for creating great websites for our 50+ laser hair removal clinics around the country. Primary duties include conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas, as well as creating visual elements that are in line with our branding. You will be working closely with our web development team to ensure a proper and hassle-free implementation. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent visual design skills and be proficient in web design/development software such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator.

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Responsibilities:

  • Plans site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality.
  • Builds wireframes and proof of concept to gain approval from relevant stakeholders
  • Works closely with a Web Developer on coding to integrate text, graphics, sound, and/or video and implement pages into production.
  • Develops site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
  • Develops site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic designers; designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc.
  • Designs and tests other digital assets including banner ads, html emails, etc.
  • Designs for and tests cross-platform compatibility.
  • Upgrades site by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology; maintaining links.
  • Maintains site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s Fine Arts preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in web design.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (BFA preferably).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator.
  • Experience designing responsive websites, banner ads, and website banners for various campaigns
  • Experience with HTML and CSS (Javascript, Boot Strap and AngularJS experience a plus).
  • An online portfolio and submission of a professional cover letter
