The Assistant Manager of the Mount Sinai Posman Bookstore is responsible for overseeing staff, operations and resources to ensure a high degree of employee and customer satisfaction. This individual ensures that operations are run according to institutional policies and any applicable regulatory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • In the absence of the Manager, oversees staff, personnel, sales, billing and accounts receivable at Mount Sinai Bookstore locations. Merchandise includes books (textbooks and trade publications), general merchandise, candy and beverages, stethoscopes, basic medical supplies, magazines and imprinted items
  • Reconciles orders and invoices
  • Assists in the recruitment and orientation of staff in accordance with all internal policies and procedures
  • Arranges for returns/exchanges with publishers and wholesalers
  • Picks up mail and deliveries
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher is preferred
  • Experience: 3 years directly related experience
