Customer Service Representative

Perform customer service for Personal Lines insurance accounts, providing information, answering questions, performing research, reviewing accounts, coordinating renewals, processing rewrites/remarkets and ensuring customer satisfaction. Will review and offer additional insurance products to existing customers. Ensures customer account information is up-to-date and complete.

Education/Experience
  • Two years telephone service experience preferred

  • Customer service experience in an office setting required

  • Personal Lines insurance knowledge and experience preferred

  • Call Center Service Model experience preferred

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred


  • Skills and Abilities
  • Exemplary telephone speaking and listening skills and presence

  • Ability to perform as a Customer Service Representative in decentralized service unit handling customer mail, faxes, telephone inquiries along with the ability to handle walk in, face to face customer service

  • Must possess telephone skills and have ability to speak with customers on the telephone as well as in person

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, pay attention to detail and focus on quality

  • Ability to multi task and problem solve

  • Ability to handle diverse clients/customers

  • Ability to handle diverse clients/customers

  • Ability to effectively express empathy and client concern

  • Possess Microsoft Office technology knowledge & skills


  • Unique Job Requirements & Characteristics
  • Insurance Personal Lines or Property and Casualty License required

  • Licensing within six months of hire; if not licensed at time of hire

  • Ability to travel regionally

  • Exhibit flexibility with assignments, shifts and working hours, if and when required.
