Job Summary

The Intermodal Clerk is an entry-level position primarily responsible for daily tracking and updating of the movement of freight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of shipments on a daily basis.
  • Obtaining key dates along the shipment cycle.
  • Accurate and timely data entry into our software system (FreightStream).
  • Identifying and reporting of problems.
  • Monitoring of reports.
  • Meet key performance indicators to support the department, branch, product and overall company goals. Must have the desire to understand the operational process flow and constantly seeking improved ways for efficiency.
  • Reporting workflow progress to Management on a frequent basis.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry.
