PrimeSource Building Products Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building material products, has an immediate opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative in our Taylor, MI distribution center.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with the occasional opportunity for overtime
This is a fast paced role and the incumbent will need to have basic understanding of business and office settings and using MS Outlook and Excel on computer. Will need to be comfortable answering busy in-coming phone lines from our customers and make some out-going sales calls to current and potential customers. We are looking for someone with great multi-tasking skills as you will be busy answering in-coimg phone calls and making out-going calls, placing orders/order entry and working on the computer.
MUST have the ability to multi-task be willing to make Cold Calls and comfortable upselling products to current and potential customers. Will assist in research of products on hand for customers, order entry and data entry of sales orders. Looking for someone that takes initiative to learn about our products and provide excellent service to our customers. Knowledge of construction or building supply background a plus! Candidates with strong Sales background will be a good fit in this role.
This Inside Sales Representative's primary role will be to sell PrimeSource's full line of building material products within the PrimeSource customer channel. The ISR will be responsible for communication via telephone, e-mail, and approved social media. The ISR will perform the following job responsibilities:
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
Bachelor's Degree or some college coursework preferred
Must have at least 2 years of Sales experience and/or equivalent experience in the Industry (building materials, construction etc.).
Some knowledge of SAP and CRM helpful, but not required.
Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, quota driven, and engaged to perform as a team. Additional requirements are: professional and confident media skills, proficient keyboarding/computer skills, and two to five years of sales or telemarketing experience and/or a combination of education and experience. Experience in the building materials industry is a bonus.
