Payroll Specialist

Roaring Fork Restaurant Group is looking for an experienced and driven Payroll Specialist to work amongst our energetic team of people in our corporate office. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager and must possess a general understanding of payroll practices and principles and exhibit strong organizational, communication and analytical skills. This person must have the ability to work independently while contributing to the team environment and provide excellent internal customer service. The successful applicant must be capable of meeting internal and external deadlines and producing a consistently high-quality product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with our restaurant managers to ensure accuracy in payroll processing
  • Data entry in support of new hires, terminations and status changes
  • Handle payroll related questions
  • Resolve payroll related problems/issues
  • Track PTO/Vacation
  • Complete employment verifications and payroll garnishments
  • Administer and track Leave of Absences (i.e. COBRA, FMLA, Medical, USERRA, etc.)
  • Organize and maintain employee information

REQUIREMENTS


  • 1-3 years of experience in payroll
  • Restaurant experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information
