This job requires you to relocate to a rural area about 45 minutes from Columbus Nebraska.

You must have a valid driver's license. You cannot have any DUI's on your driving record in the last 5 years.

This job is near Columbus Nebraska. You must live near, or be ready to relocate to, the Columbus Nebraska area. There is no housing offered with this job.

To be considered for this job you must have:

  • experience loading, hauling, and spreading manure.
  • experience operating heavy machinery, primarily large farm tractors.
  • some experience or familiarity with GPS-guided farm equipment
  • some experience with welding
  • ability to travel to other company locations, sometimes but rarely, this will be overnight travel

Pay is $18 to $20 per hour, possibly a bit more. Since it is an agriculture job, there would be no overtime pay, but there might be the opportunity for longer hours seasonally.

In addition to work around the Albion area, you might have some travel to other sites, including overnight travel, but this would be infrequent. Travel will be in a company vehicle.

If you have had a DUI in the last 5 years, unfortunately the company cannot consider you for employment. A background check will be performed on this.

Environmental Tech Job Description:

  • Operate and maintain equipment related to manure application across the operating geography. Duties will include direct responsibility for manure application, maintaining a comprehensive set of records, and ensuring proper calibration of application equipment.
  • Working knowledge of application equipment. Fundamental working knowledge of regulatory requirements for nutrient management, application rate calculations, calibration calculations, record-keeping, and manure sampling protocols.
  • Knowledge, awareness, and adherence to the policies governing safety and environment.
  • Assist with farm and application equipment maintenance program.
  • Participate in Emergency Response and Environmental Safety programs
  • Equipment operator for row crop operations.
  • Seasonal overnight travel to remote locations in the Midwest.
