Loan Processor I

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing support to Business & Private Bankers to allow them to focus efforts on sales opportunities and to ensure the Bankers are compliant with all policies, procedures, and regulations with a focus on preventing violations and exceptions. Support includes, but is not limited to: Ensuring all disclosures are processed in a timely manner; Assist with the preparation of documentation for loans, leases and credit cards timely and accurately. Also, responsible for being (and remaining) proficient with preparing documents for both commercial & consumer loans and all loan types. Assist with the closing & booking processes by ensuring the closing package is complete, closed loan packages are complete & organized for booking, and closed loan packages are scanned and properly indexed.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Process Documentation Requests (25%)

  • Assist with and also prepare documentation (loan/lease/credit card), accurately and timely, in accordance with all policies, procedures and checklists. This includes preparing and sending early disclosures.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of flood determinations, flood coverage forms, flood notifications, and all other flood related requirements, in accordance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform any other DocPrep functions required including: credit reports, UCC searches, UCC collateral filings, title work, verification of good standings, CIP, verification of paid R/E taxes, etc. as applicable.
  • Maintain current status (CRM workflow) and tracking items & exceptions in Baker Hill’s Advisor program. Populate the Routine Tracking Log - Excel and/or Advisor, as applicable.

Prepare Loan Packages for Closing & Booking (35%)

  • Ensure closed loan packages are scanned and properly indexed within 10 business days of booking.
  • Process ongoing maintenance of ticklers in Navigator and/or Advisor.
  • Prepare loan files for boarding including: making sure the checklists have been completed accurately, loan request form fields have been completed accurately, all coding fields are correct, loan balances, along with any funding instructions and tickler sheets are clearly documented for Loan Services.

Work to Prevent Violations & Exceptions; Resolve Issues Timely (30%)

  • Responsible for developing a good understanding of all banking compliance regulations and an ability to accurately complete various checklists and procedures specific to loans, including: Flood, HMDA, CIP & TRID.
  • Proactively communicate with Bankers, title companies, Loan Services and others, to prevent or resolve any documentation related exceptions.
  • Work with other Loan Processors, Bankers & Relationship Coordinators to resolve any documentation issues, policy violations, or compliance exceptions.

Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

  • Review all consumer and commercial non-originations, within 5 business days of decisioning.
  • Provide Backup support to other DocPrep team members and Relationship Coordinators, as necessary.
  • Assist with documenting procedures.
  • Assist with preparing loan reports and audits.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate verbally.
  • Be able to demonstrate solid math and organizational skills.
  • PC and Office, Word, Excel experience desired.
  • Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION*

I.High school diploma or equivalent required.


EXPERIENCE*

  • Minimum 1-3 years of consumer, commercial, lease and credit card documentation experience desired.
  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered
