2nd District Reentry Case Manager

Sequel Youth and Family Services Dysart, IA 2019-07-10

Woodward Community Based Services is looking for an independent, self-starting person who has the desire to help young kids transition from placement back home to the community within the 2nd Judicial District of Iowa. Job duties will include assisting youth in “getting back on their feet” with finding employment, finding and fostering positive relationships and other needs that the youth may have. This position will require remote work, and travel.

This position is a grant funded position and will require someone who is able to communicate consistently with Juvenile Court Officers, the youth themselves, and their families. This is a great opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young people and their communities.

Daily work would require travel to various placements in Iowa to meet with youth before they are discharged, and maintaining contact (face to face) with them when they return home. Mileage will be paid, and reliable transportation is a must because the daily travel will be a job requirement. Care plans and meetings notes will be required to document meetings with workers and youth, so documentation skills will also be a must.

A Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field is preferred, but discussions can be had in regards to experience in the field and other qualifications an individual may have.

If this sounds like the position for you, or if you have any questions, please email Ben Badgley at benjamin.badgley@sequelyouthservices.com
