The Production Standards Analyst will take direction from Leaders on performing analytics, audits and help facilitate corrective actions surrounding the Safety and compliance mindset.

  • Provide support to internal and external stakeholders regarding Southwest Airlines policy and applicable regulatory guidance.

  • Interface and coordinate with internal Tech Ops departments as well as departments across Southwest Airlines on compliance standards and project initiatives, including but not limited to: Regulatory Compliance, Quality Control & Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance Programs/Tech Pubs, Training, Southwest Central Publications and Corporate Safety.

  • Assist DOM and Tech Ops Operations Directors in researching and responding to LOIs, Self- Disclosures, FAA Requests for Information.

  • Initiate Safety Assurance System (SAS) Data Collection System (SAS) evaluations, and Internal Quality Escapement initiatives pertaining to or involving TechOps Operations.

  • Coordinate initial responses to the LOIs, Voluntary Self Disclosures, and FAA Request for Information with the Regulatory Affairs Teams.

  • Assist in identifying final corrective action to solving potential Maintenance Program deficiencies and submit comprehensive program change proposals.

  • Serve as a liaison to the QA/QC Departments.

  • Assist in and coordinate scheduled Operations audits and inspections; provide follow up, corrective action and responses for findings pertaining to these audits.

  • Assist in the development, analysis and reporting of assigned projects within the TechOps Operations Department.

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (At least 3 years in any combination of the following areas: aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, auditing, engineering, or aircraft certification) required

  • 2 years experience with a Company operating under 14 CFR Part 121 (in any combination of the following areas; aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, auditing, engineering, aircraft certification) is required. In lieu of 1 of these years, we will accept 1 year Military equivalent experience with transport category aircraft operating under similar continuous airworthiness maintenance programs.
  • 1 year Project Management Experience preferred
  • 1 year Technical Operations (MX) programs experience preferred
  • 6 months administrative experience preferred

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Licenses preferred

  • Must have the ability to motivate and mentor others.

  • Must be able to work well with others, as part of a Team.

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Should possess a thorough knowledge of program and project management disciplines.

  • Must possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills and have the ability to manage multiple

activities and projects simultaneously.

  • Must work well under tight time constraints and be able to manage multiple demands at one time.

  • Must have a basic working knowledge of aircraft systems and operating principles.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.

  • Must have the ability to understand and interpret the Code of Federal Regulations and technical documents.


  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

  • Must be able to work extended hours as needed based on operational demands

  • Must be able to travel via Company aircraft to Southwest Airlines or Vendor locations
