The Warehouse Expeditor position works out of Stansell Electric s Knoxville warehouse assisting in all aspects of shop maintenance, tool allocation, shop deliveries, material orders, and delivery/pick-up of material and tools to and from the jobsite. The Warehouse Expeditor must show customer service skills, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude, computer skills, mathematical skills, and literacy skills commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position s primary duties and responsibilities. This is a part time position

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and support efforts of the field teams by increasing efficiencies and minimizing down time. The person will report to the field superintendents but may have responsibilities assigned by field and office personnel at all levels of the company.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Warehouse Management (35%)
    • Stocking materials in designated locations
    • Pulling and staging materials requested by field teams
    • Coordinating and receiving deliveries
    • Relocating material as needed
    • Daily general cleaning of the warehouse and yard area
  • Inventory Management (30%)
    • Manage tracking of material though Vista Inventory Management System
    • Coordinate with Project Managers on project specific inventory
    • Order and manage stock materials to maintain designated quantities of supplies
    • Perform monthly audits of inventory
  • Fleet Management (20%)
    • Work closely with Stansell s Fleet Manager in Nashville to help maintain East Tennessee s equipment fleet
    • Ensure necessary and preventative maintenance is completed by third party vendors
    • Resolve equipment issues and needs with Team Leader, Superintendents, and Fleet Manager
    • Maintain rental equipment logs and ensure efficient scheduling of rental equipment
  • Expediting (15%)
    • Delivering parts, materials and small equipment to job sites
    • Picking up or dropping off materials or paperwork to or from vendors, suppliers, general contractors or municipalities
    • Work will include some round-trip deliveries to Nashville office

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform work under the guidelines of Stansell s Injury Free program
  • Good health, able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to obtain a TDOT Health Card
  • Valid driver s license
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to ascend and descend stairs
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legally able to be employed in the United States
  • Training will include 3-4 consecutive days at the Nashville office

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years warehouse experience
  • Minimum 2 years using an inventory management system
  • Dependable transportation for daily commute
  • Ability to operate indoor and outdoor forklift
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Great organizational skills
  • Electrical background a plus
  • Crane/Digger Derrick experience a plus
  • CDL a plus
  • Experience with Vista a plus

COMPENSATION:

  • Hourly pay commensurate with candidates knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Health benefits and PTO days per company policy
  • Normal work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM but may vary to include evenings and/or weekends as needed. Position will average 40 hours per week.
