Manufacturing Cost Controller will provide analytical and decision support for Manufacturing management team and other personnel at the plant:

  • Works closely with manufacturing operations to ensure production costs are accurately and timely recorded.
  • Performs thorough variance analysis on cost deviations (Production material and labor).
  • Reports findings to management team and recommend solutions to mitigate risks and improve performance.
  • Supports site Finance Controller with data analytics on plant’s performance at the project level.
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of Manufacturing financials with commentaries including estimates to complete (EAC) and cost evolution.
  • Develops standard costs and Bill of Materials in collaboration with Industrialization, Sourcing, supply chain, etc.
  • Develops, monitors and analysis manufacturing overhead allocation and burden rates to ensure appropriateness.
  • Works with the site Finance team during moth-end closing, monthly forecasting and the annual budget process.
  • Assists site Project Controllers with tools, reports, etc. and enable to perform a thorough work package review with WP owners.
  • Reviews and analyzes inventory in detail to ensure work orders are closed in a timely manner and inventory is costed out to jobs properly.
  • Ensures proper application of internal control protocols in compliance with site, group and other regulatory bodies.
  • Participates in Manufacturing and Project Management team meetings, risk sessions, and all decision-making concerning manufacturing project financials and contractual aspects.

Skills, Experience, Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or other relevant disciplines
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
  • Previous accounting experience (like cost accounting, etc)
  • ERP, MRP experience, SAP experience will be a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired
