We are seeking a highly motivated Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team in Fremont, CA. The Benefits Analyst will provide tactical, analytical and administrative duties related to our employee benefit programs. This position reports to the Manager, Benefits and works closely with the Benefits team.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Plan related issues addressing eligibility, compliance, and annual audit requirements
  • Assist in ensuring benefits data integrity by researching, reporting, auditing, and collaborating with vendors and key stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Audit and correct benefits deduction and enrollment discrepancies by reviewing and manipulating data
  • Manage the invoice reconciliation process, including the review of enrollment and termination data
  • Analyze errors in HR systems, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve processes
  • Assist in the annual enrollment process, including project management, user acceptance testing, and communications
  • Research, review and respond to finance and accounting partners questions and issues regarding enrollment and claims data
  • Manage tuition reimbursement and scholarship programs
  • Assist with compliance of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and IRS regulations and reporting requirements
  • Responsible for annual non-discrimination testing for the Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Research and respond to escalated employee service center inquiries and requests
  • Create and update benefit analytics to include reporting, dashboards and queries
  • Manage flu shot program, wellness events and other benefit-related events
  • Assist in creating and distributing benefit communications using multiple platforms
  • Evaluate and advise on internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
  • Document and maintain procedures for all benefit processes and procedures
  • Perform other benefit-related functions and projects, as assigned by Management

Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications:
  • Position based in Fremont, CA headquarters
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years related experience (or comparable combination of education and experience)
  • Strong analytical and system skills including ability to balance multiple priorities at the same time
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to identify inconsistencies in data
  • Ability to work independently and perform analysis on large amounts of data
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and friendly demeanor with a team-oriented approach
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills required; including vlookup, pivot tables and simple formulas
  • Experience with PeopleSoft a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week in Fremont, CA
  • Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment
  • Ability to handle repetitive motion necessary for typing and filing
