Design and document IP network solutions to meet system requirements and integrate with existing enterprise infrastructure and services. Work with project team members to comprehend existing and emerging requirements and drive network designs. Conduct vendor product analysis and evaluate suitability of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products for meeting system requirements. Define and document design details for systems under development, including network addressing, network protocols, network interfaces, and security features. Develop and document test cases to evaluate solutions against stated requirements. Apply technical leadership and subject matter expertise across multiple projects. Communicate progress regularly and participate in recurring project meetings with internal team and government clients.
-7+ years of experience with designing, analyzing, configuring, or troubleshooting IP networks
-Experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms
-Knowledge of TCP/IP
-Knowledge of routing protocols and the followingnetworking technologies: BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, VRF, VLAN, IP Multicast, IP QoS, or IPSec
-Ability to support up to 25% travel to conduct and support test events and other work activities
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, CS, or Information Management
-Knowledge of existing DoD network services or network implementations preferred
-Knowledge of network function virtualization or software defined networking
-Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
-CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent professional certification
