The Job:

Associate Director, Market Strategy

The Associate Director in the Evolent Health Plan Services (HPS) Market Strategy team serves as a key member of a unique team focused on driving initiatives forward to improve client satisfaction. While the HPS solution our clients engage with focuses on health plan claim processing, audit, customer service, eligibility and enrollment, finance, encounters, and reporting, the Market Strategy team reaches across all functional areas and all clients to elevate the day-to-day partner experience.

The three main areas of focus for the Associate Director include (1) direct involvement creating client deliverables to support development of strategic client relationships; (2) management of cross-client projects often engaging teams across Health Plan Services for execution and (3) execution of client-specific initiatives in partnership with the client-dedicated team. This role is a key starting point to develop and launch outstanding talent and future leadership into the HPS organization. Reporting to the Director, Market Strategy, the Associate Director will have early exposure to HPS leadership and organizational decision making.

The role is based in Chicago.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Partner with client-dedicated Evolent teams to lead key projects through completion whether initiated by the client or Market Strategy internal roadmap
  • Develop external and internal communication deliverables to provide visibility into Evolent health plan services performance
  • Perform basic analyses of cross-client operational performance to proactively identify areas of opportunity for individual clients or broadly
  • Participate in creative solutioning for specific and cross-client challenges within the Market Strategy team’s area of focus
  • Learn internal health plan operations to complement everyday projects
  • Support internal governance of the broader Market Operations team through regular forums and trainings

The Experience You Need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years professional experience in a consultative capacity working for or directly with clients within healthcare

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Outstanding level of attention to detail manifested through written and verbal communication skills to all levels of audiences (front line to executive)
  • Core fundamental project management capability
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly and the drive to proactively close knowledge gaps
  • Innate commitment to delivering best in class client service
  • Demonstrated problem-solving/critical thinking ability
  • Capable of working independently and autonomously
  • Willingness to collaborate across various functions and teams
  • Management of multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude and sense of humor
