You must be licensed as an EMT in the state of Florida and have a current AHA BLS certification. National Registry is not accepted in lieu of a Florida EMT license.  **If you have an out of state license - please contact the FL Department of Health to get information on the licensing process for Florida. 
Emergency Department or Hospital experience a plus. 
This posting is for a full time Emergency Department Technician I position for dayshift,  7A to 7:30P three days per week, with an every-other-weekend requirement.

The ED Technician provides patient care under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse in the Emergency Services setting. Applicants should be comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment, and should be highly self-motivated. ED technicians are responsible for implementing components of patient care through initiation and completion of procedures. This role provides assistance to the physicians, nurses, staff, visitors, as well as other departments. Duties performed frequently include 12-lead EKGs, phlebotomy, BLS skills, and assistance with patient care, as outlined by department policies and guidelines.
